My Rescue Story
I was found abandoned in a big field with seven of my equine friends. Working together with Bransby Horses, the HAPPA Team had their work cut out trying to herd us to safety, we were all sure that we didn’t want to leave, I guess we didn’t realise they were trying to help us.
We had been left in the field for a very long time and I was riddled with lice, had a heavy worm burden and my coat was all matted.
Once in the safety of Shores Hey Farm it took quite a long time for me to settle into the routine. I had spent a lot of time in the same field with the same horses and became very upset if my friends left their stables without me. The Equine Care Team worked closely with me to keep me happy and calm and after a short time I started to relax, I became a much calmer horse and the Team could take my friends out the building without causing me to much stress, and I made some new friends too.
I’ve been enjoying the summer in the field with my new friends. I’ve recently started the backing process and I’m enjoying the new chapter in my life.
I’ve been told I’m very sweet and I love lots of attention.
