My Rescue Story
My name is Yelena and I arrived at HAPPA with a group of my friends as our needs were not being met and my welfare was starting to suffer.
I started my rehabilitation journey in the isolation building where I stayed for 21 days. While here I had a visit from the farrier who gave my feet a trim and the vet gave me a health check.
I was quite nervous when I arrived at HAPPA and I was a little scared of the equine team. They worked a lot with me and I slowly was starting to trust them. I still wasn’t keen on the vet and farrier though.
I have recently moved on to the main yard where I am slowly getting used to the new routine. I was quite stressed to begin with as there were a lot more horses around me and a lot more activity on the yard. Overtime I am slowly settling and starting to enjoy all the cuddles from the public.
I am going to continue my rehabilitation journey over the next few months where my health will improve and I will feel a lot better.
